BII regularly conduct Workshops, Seminars, Conferences, Symposiums and Sharing Sessions that benefit the Scientific community.

In 2006, a total of 119 events were conducted.

On June 2014, BII organised the
Emerging Trends in Computational Biology.

BII provide rewarding student internship experiences and guidance in BioInformatics. Placements are based on each student's aspirations, and skills.

58 interns and students were trained by BII in 2012.

The total number of scientific publications in 2017 was 84 (with 32 in journals with impact factor >5; this is ~38% of all publications in 2017)

BII develops, host and maintain webtools and knowledgebase websites for the benefit of the scientific community worldwide.

BII aims to create awareness and educate the young in science by reaching out to the schools, junior colleges and polytechnics. Through its outreach activities such as hosting of schools' visits to BII, student internship etc, we hope to inspire and nurture them to be future scientist.
