The Bioinformatics Institute (BII) is a highly motivated, regionally unique group of experts in bioinformatics, computational and systems biology that bring interdisciplinary theoretical and computational solutions to challenging biological and biomedical problems. We provide significant contributions in the form of collaborations and joint projects with Clinicians and Industry partners.

For the following requests, please write in to the Imaging Informatics Division with your enquiries.

  • I have color images of histological sections and would need a quantitative analysis of these images, such as counting cells or measuring areas of a particular color.
  • I need computer aided diagnosis through pathological slides of biopsy samples.
  • Can bio-imaging help in clinical settings and in the patient management in the hospital?

  • I would like to know genes/proteins and pathways involved in a particular disease to screen patients for mutations
  • I have a list of candidate genes/proteins and would like to know the most likely candidate for a particular disease.
  • I found a disease-associated non-synonymous SNP/amino acid mutation in my patients/samples and would like to know any predictable phenotypic effects and their biomolecular mechanisms.

  • I need to understand the effects of drugs in different patients based on SNPs in known targets.
