BII Team Received "Best Poster Award" at the 8th International Conference on Bioinformatics (7th to 11th September 2009, Biopolis Singapore)

We are pleased to announce that Dr Vachiranee Limvipuvadh and her team from the Bioinformatics Institute (BII) received the "Best Poster Award" for their poster entitled: "Analysis of the molecular mechanisms of known and predicted disease mutations in LGI epilepsy genes" during the 8th International Conference on Bioinformatics held in Biopolis, Singapore from 7th to 11th September.

The International Conference on Bioinformatics (InCoB) is the official conference of the Asia-Pacific Bioinformatics Network (APBioNet). This annual conference showcases the latest research and technologies in all areas of bioinformatics and is attended by practitioners from both biology and computing backgrounds in the Asia-Pacific region. This year, InCoB 2009 was held back to back with the Workshop on Education in Bioinformatics and Computational Biology (WEBCB), as well as the Singapore Symposium on Computational Biology (SYMBIO), and attracted about 450 attendees from 19 countries to attend the main and satellite meetings. Out of a submission of more than 60 posters, the BII team won the "Best Poster Award" for their poster.

Congratulations to Dr Vachiranee Limvipuvadh and team!!
